What is Culture Change?
Illinois Pioneer Coalition Improves the Quality of Life for Individuals & Staff in All Care Settings in Illinois
“It is a transformation based on person-directed values and person-directed practices, where the voices of elders and those working closest with them are honored and respected.”
What is the Southwestern Illinois Pioneer Coalition for Culture Change?
“An organization of providers, educators, consumers, family members, and advocates, who share a commitment to the vision of person-directed values and care for all elders.”
(serving Bond, Clinton, Madison, Monroe, Randolph, St. Clair, and Washington Counties)
Our vision is a community where every older adult’s individuality and personal choice is valued and respected by all caregivers. Research has shown that facilities that emphasize person centered care experience a higher rate of resident and staff satisfaction and lower staff turnover.
